About me: I’m a Christian, mother of three beautiful children, wife to a good man, aspiring author, and lover of books. I grew up in the beautiful Pacific Northwest–Washington State to be exact; however, I currently live in Oregon and have spent some time in Texas as well. For as long as I can remember I’ve been making up stories in my head, but I didn’t begin writing until 2013. I entered the First Impressions Contest, through American Christian Fiction Writers, in 2015 and received some great critiques. After that experience, I joined ACFW and the Oregon Christian Writers, a couple critique groups, my local ACFW chapter, and I began reading books on writing. Turns out, learning how to write well is almost as fun as writing. Almost.

So, why am I pursuing publishing, and not just writing as a hobby? Well, I’ll tell you why. Life is a lot of work. It is beautiful, dangerous, tragic, exhausting, and sometimes an absolute struggle. That is why we need good stories, so we can hide away from the worries of this world for a moment, step into the pages of our favorite book and just live. I hope to write something that is like stepping into another world, one that reflects God’s love for us, and I want that world to change my reader’s life for the better.

About the blog: When I decided to begin a blog one concept was the deciding factor, the focus would be on readers. As an aspiring author, I positively love author sites; however, not everyone interested in books is writing one. You can bet your life every book-lover is reading though, provided they are still breathing. This blog is for you, the reader, to offer encouragement with the occasional inspirational article, news on upcoming book releases, book reviews, and prizes and deals. Overall, positivity is essential; after all, you cannot reach happily ever after without optimism.
